Vending machine revenue share
How the 10% revenue share works
In short: you host the machine for free, and STASH pays you 10% of its net sales every month. You never pay for the machine, the stock or the service.
What a vending machine revenue share is
A vending machine revenue share, sometimes called a commission, is the part of a machine's sales that the operator pays to the business that hosts it. With STASH, that share is 10% of net sales, paid monthly.
What net sales means
Net sales is what customers pay at the machine, minus sales tax, payment processing fees and any money returned to customers.
Your share is worked out on sales, not profit. It doesn't go down because of what the products cost STASH, or because of restocking or repairs. Those costs are ours.
The exact definition is written in your host agreement.
Why the share is 10%
The 10% is paid for the space, and nothing else is asked of you. You don't stock the machine, count inventory, manage it or deal with customers.
STASH covers everything it takes to run the machine out of the rest: the machine itself, the products inside it, card processing fees, sales tax and other product taxes, restocking, repairs, monitoring and customer support.
That is why the host share is set at 10% of net sales. You carry no cost and no workload, and you are paid every month.
Why net sales and not gross
Gross sales include sales tax and card fees that neither of us keeps. Net sales is the money the machine actually brings in, so it is the number we share.
When and how you are paid
You're paid every month. You choose how you're paid when you sign up, and you can request a sales report to check the numbers.
What it costs you
Nothing. STASH pays for the machine, installation, stock, service and customer support. You provide the spot, a standard power outlet, Wi-Fi and access for servicing. See the four steps.
The agreement
The terms are set in a written host agreement. There is no minimum term. Either side can end it with 30 days' notice, and we collect the machine.
Common questions
Do vending machine companies pay you?
Many pay the host a share of sales, often called a commission. STASH pays hosts 10% of net sales every month.
How should a business owner compare vending machine commission offers?
Compare the whole deal, not only the percentage: who pays for the machine, the stock, repairs and card fees. With STASH the host pays for none of them.
Can I get a higher percentage?
The host share is 10% of net sales. It reflects that hosting takes no money and no work from you: STASH pays for the machine, the products, card processing fees, taxes, restocking, repairs and customer support.
Do I owe anything in a slow month?
No. There are no fees or minimums. Your share is 10% of whatever the net sales were.
